Being a heart survivor I was introduced to this foundation by a friend and was very moved at what this Family is trying to achieve. Until some thing like this affects you or your family we go on taking our hearts for granted.

Please join me with this wonderful family to help all new born babies and young children in funding the test to determine if your child or some one else has a potential problem and fix it before it is to late. . Our Mission

Robie was almost four years old and part of a set of triplets when he died unexpectedly on November 4, 2004. Robie had a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) called PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) also known as a heart murmur. Initially, the mission of The Robie Foundation was to bring awareness about Congenital Heart Defects in children through multi media resources. We expanded our mission in 2006. We now facilitate Heart Screening Events for school age children through

sponsored venues, support from local communities and volunteers from the medical field. We hope to one day have every child receive a baseline echocardiogram. We want to spare other families from what we are now experiencing.

One day, we plan to change legislation to include a baseline echocardiogram as part of a routine physical for children, that will take some time. In the mean time, we hope to save lives by early detection.........one heart at a time.
